Our honest experience

Hibird 4K HD Smart Bird Feeder Camera

This is the camera currently running in our patio. It saves 4K recordings to the microSD card, but the live view is shown in 1080p. It does not provide a usable night view—in darkness, we cannot see anything. We installed a separate higher-capacity microSD card; check the current listing to confirm whether storage is included. It is a practical starting point, but not our ideal long-term camera.

Useful add-ons

Camera Power Accessories

Extra charging equipment that helps our camera stay powered in a shaded patio with limited direct sunlight.

Works well in our patio

FUTUREZEN 13W Solar Panel for Security Cameras

Our camera's built-in solar roof receives too little direct sunlight in its current location. We added this larger 13W panel, and it has been a very useful and reliable charging upgrade for our setup.

Our go-to storage card

PNY Premier-X 128GB microSDXC Card

This is the microSD card we choose for our cameras and other compatible devices because it offers a comfortable 128GB capacity, dependable performance and good value for the price. Before purchasing, confirm that your device supports microSDXC cards and 128GB capacity.
